All items (yes everything) are handmade just for you and your pup. If you have any concerns contact us and we'll be happy to help.
FYI: Brass can be polished up with a little vinegar or lemon juice and baking soda paste and then rinsed off (or leave it to naturally patina). Stainless steel just means it won't rust or tarnish; won't stain the steel. It is AISI 304 stainless steel. It is stronger and more durable than nickle plated or solid brass but can react with metal allergies as it's a metal alloy.
Collars are made in with strong nylon webbing, washable ribbons and nickel plated steel slides and D-rings. The seams are triple stitched with two rows of stitching on stress points. Width listed is the width of the nylon webbing, not the hardware; which is slightly larger. Hardware pictured may differ slightly; they are examples. Widths may be minutely less or more than listed within about 1/16” (2mm).
Materials and care
For Biothane:
Genuine Beta Biothane
solid brass or stainless steel hardware
end sealed in matching shade
rivets (either solid brass or nickel plate solid brass)
Cleaning is a snap! You can use soap and water for most dirt/salt water. Polish solid brass and stainless steel with a slurry made of white vinegar and baking soda (foamy but works great) and rinse off after. Even a disinfecting bleach dip (10%) is fine. Magic erasers work well for stubborn stains.
For Tartan ribbon or Nylon collars:
Genuine Tartan Ribbons from Scotland
strong nylon webbing
nickle plated hardware
thread for sewing
Cleaning of fabric type collars is usually done by hand or gentle cycle in the washing machine. Use gentle soap, no harsh chemicals. Let air dry fully.
Handcrafted with love, made to order just for you. No drop shipping involved.
Martingale, Chain Martingale- it's a pass-over-head style (tartans) or opens fully (Biothane); measure neck and largest part of head. Adjust to fit once on.
Side Release (also called quick release or side squeeze)- it opens fully, so just the neck size is needed to fit. Adjust the size then buckle around neck.
Breakaway- basically a side release that will pop open in any force is pulled on it. Mostly used in tag collars or cat collars.
Roller buckle (shoe buckle, belt style buckle)- opens fully, weave the end through the buckle and secure with tongue. Just need to have the neck size for it to fit, there is adjustment holes for sizes. We list size at the centre hole.

this measure is the general neck size of your dog
or
(B:) measure old collar flat from buckle to hole most used-centre hole (Biothane blue collar) or similar to the side release (plaid red collar) below.
